Onlink 1.2 goes beyond “is my internet healthy?” and helps explain what happened, what the evidence points to, and whether the same kind of problem keeps returning.
Automatic incident diagnosis
- Lightweight evidence can now be captured automatically for outages, unstable connections, severe latency, and captive-portal states.
- Incident Detail shows before / during / recovery context, likely cause when supported, and evidence strength.
- The connection path stays consumer-friendly: Wi-Fi → Router → Website lookup → Internet.
- When evidence is ambiguous, Onlink says the cause is unclear instead of inventing certainty. Older v1.1 incidents remain readable without fabricated diagnoses.
Internet Reliability Score
- New 0–100 Reliability Score combines measured availability, incidents, latency, jitter, and failed lightweight checks.
- Throughput from manual speed tests is deliberately excluded: a fast connection can still be unreliable.
- Sparse history shows Collecting data or Limited data rather than pretending an incomplete sample deserves a confident score.
- Reliability Today is available to everyone; Pro adds 7 / 30 / 90-day score views, daily trends, and previous-period comparison when coverage is sufficient.
Patterns and ISP-ready evidence
- Pro History adds What Onlink noticed for meaningful recurring patterns, time-of-day clustering, and supported recurring likely causes.
- ISP-ready reports can include reliability, pattern summaries, supported cause breakdowns, notable incidents, and incident evidence.
- Copy Summary and single-incident PDF reports are richer while continuing to omit private network identifiers by default.
- Reports now focus on PDF and Copy Summary; the v1.1 CSV export is removed in v1.2.

- Free keeps Internet Health, Reliability Today, the last 24 hours of History, recent Incident Detail, and Copy Evidence.
- Free includes 3 speed tests, 3 Diagnose runs, and 3 single-incident PDF reports per calendar month, counted locally on this Mac.
- Pro keeps 7 / 30 / 90-day History and adds long-term reliability trends, recurring insights, advanced alerts, and unlimited quota features.
- Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime, Restore Purchases, and qualifying original-paid entitlement behavior remain intact.
Still local-first
- No Onlink account, hosted backend, cloud analysis, or AI diagnosis.
- Automatic incident evidence does not persist Wi-Fi SSID, public IP, local IP, or gateway address.
- Automatic diagnosis never launches a full Cloudflare or M-Lab speed test and never silently turns a lightweight health check into a bandwidth-heavy transfer.
