Support for Onlink.

Quick answers for compatibility, purchases, monitoring, diagnosis, speed tests, and the evidence Onlink records when a connection becomes unreliable.

Compatibility

macOS 15 or later

Onlink supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Mac App Store

Download and purchase Onlink through the official Mac App Store listing ↗.

Purchases & Pro

How do I restore Pro?

Open Onlink’s purchase/paywall screen and use Restore Purchases. Onlink refreshes StoreKit entitlements and also checks the original app purchase when applicable.

I bought Onlink before it became Free + Pro. Do I keep Pro?

Yes. A verified production App Store purchase whose original app version is earlier than 1.1 receives permanent Pro access as an original purchaser.

What purchase options exist?

Onlink supports Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly, and Pro Lifetime. Prices are shown by Apple in the app and can vary by storefront.

What can Free users try?

Free includes core Internet Health, Reliability Today, 24-hour history, and three uses per calendar month each for Diagnose, speed tests, and incident PDF reports.

Internet Health

What does Reliability Score mean?

The 0–100 score uses measured uptime, incidents, latency, jitter, and failed checks. When there is not enough evidence, Onlink shows Collecting data or Limited data instead of pretending the score is complete.

Why can a speed test look good while Onlink shows instability?

Throughput is only one part of connection quality. Short outages, failed reachability checks, latency spikes, or high jitter can make a connection unreliable even when download speed is high.

Does Onlink constantly run speed tests?

No. Background health monitoring uses lightweight checks. Cloudflare and M-Lab speed tests are explicit, user-started actions and can transfer substantial data.

Diagnosis & incidents

What is the difference between automatic incident diagnosis and Diagnose?

Automatic incident diagnosis captures lightweight evidence around an outage or unstable period. Diagnose is a manual, one-click check that can inspect Wi-Fi, router/gateway, DNS, direct internet reachability, IPv4/IPv6, HTTPS, probe quality/loss, and loaded responsiveness.

Is a “Likely cause” definitive?

No. Onlink deliberately presents categories such as Wi-Fi, router/local network, DNS, ISP/internet, sign-in required, or unclear as evidence-based likely causes. Incident Detail also shows evidence strength and the connection state before, during, and after the event.

What can I share with an ISP?

You can copy incident evidence or create reports. Incident evidence is designed to avoid including Wi-Fi names or IP addresses, while still preserving useful diagnostic facts.
